On Saturday August 1st the Whitethorn Volunteer Fire Department will hold its Annual fundraiser dinner and dance at Whitethorn Construction. During the event, at 4pm, there will be a ceremony to commemorate the designation of the Whitethorn Valley cultural landmark, part of the Cannabis Trail.
The Cultural Landmark honors Bob McKee—land steward, rebel broker, and quiet architect of Humboldt’s legacy cannabis culture. Through vision and generosity, he gave hundreds of back-to-the-landers the opportunity to root their lives, dreams, and farms into the soil of Southern Humboldt. His belief in people and the land helped grow a thriving community that endures today. This designation recognizes Bob McKee’s enduring impact and celebrates the legacy now carried forward by his family and their farm, Whitethorn Valley Farm
Location: 545 Shelter Cove Rd. Whitethorn Ca 95589
Time: 3pm until you get kicked out
